All statistics based on crowdsourced guest reports as of . Ratios are mathematical comparisons, not assertions about park intentions. See full methodology.
BOILERPLATE
WaitTimeTruth.com tracks theme park wait time accuracy by comparing posted queue times against actual guest-reported waits across 20+ major U.S. parks.
WaitTimeTruth.com is a project by Amusement Standards LLC that measures theme park wait time accuracy. Using data from the Queue-Times.com API (which pulls directly from parks' official systems) and crowdsourced guest reports, WaitTimeTruth calculates a posted-to-actual ratio for every major ride at 20+ U.S. parks including Disney World, Disneyland, Universal Orlando, Epic Universe, Six Flags, Cedar Point, Dollywood, and more. On average, posted wait times run approximately 38% higher than the actual guest experience. WaitTimeTruth is a RatingValue.org project and the companion site to AmusementRating.org, a crowdsourced guest-side operations audit platform for the attractions industry.
Amusement Standards LLC is a risk intelligence company based in Asbury Park, New Jersey, founded by Adam Brousell. The company builds data analytics platforms for the attractions industry, including the AS 360 risk intelligence system for insurers, AmusementRating.org for crowdsourced guest audits, and WaitTimeTruth.com for wait time accuracy tracking. All consumer-facing platforms operate under the RatingValue.org umbrella brand.
STORY ANGLES
We're available for interviews, data requests, and commentary on the following topics:
Timely hooks
Epic Universe just opened — and already leads our accuracy index at 1.79×. How do the numbers compare to other Universal parks? Is this a new-park effect or a broader pattern?
Lightning Lane prices keep rising — Disney has increased per-ride pricing multiple times since launching the paid system in 2021. If posted times consistently run 20–45% higher than actual waits, how does that affect the value proposition for guests?
Parks that get it right — Cedar Point, Dollywood, and Hersheypark consistently show accurate posted times near 1.0×. What are they doing differently? The positive story is as compelling as the negative one.
