WaitTimeTruth.com is operated by Amusement Standards LLC, based in Asbury Park, New Jersey. WaitTimeTruth is a RatingValue.org project focused on tracking theme park wait time accuracy through crowdsourced guest reports.
What We Collect
When you submit a wait time report on waittimetruth.com, we collect the information you provide: park name, ride name, posted wait time, and your actual wait time. We do not require an account, name, email, or any personal identifier to submit a report.
If you voluntarily provide your name or email (e.g., for early access signup), we store that information solely for the purpose you provided it and do not sell or share it with third parties.
We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. We may use minimal analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns.
Wait Time Data
Posted wait times displayed on this site are sourced from the Queue-Times.com API, which pulls data from parks' official systems. Actual wait times are self-reported by guests and are not independently verified. Posted-to-actual ratios are mathematical comparisons and are not assertions about any park's intentions or practices.
AmusementRating Watch App
If you use the AmusementRating Apple Watch app (a companion to this site), additional data may be collected including GPS coordinates at the time of queue entry (for park/ride verification), accelerometer data for queue detection (processed on-device only, never transmitted), and an anonymous app-scoped device identifier (not your Apple ID, IDFA, or hardware serial number).
Third-Party Services
We use Cloudflare for hosting and CDN services, Airtable for data storage, and Queue-Times.com for posted wait time data. Each service has its own privacy policy.
Your Rights
You may request deletion of any data you've submitted by contacting us. Since reports are submitted without accounts, identify your submission by the report details (park, ride, date, and time).
